OUR PASTOR

Rev. Dr. Elaine Hanson-Hysell is our Pastor.  Pastor Elaine was ordained in 1988 after completing her Master of Divinity degree at Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Rochester, NY.  She served at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee, WI, for seven years as the congregation went through transitions.  During that time, she started a program for a Doctorate of Ministry degree at San Francisco Theological Seminar in California.  She then went on to serve as an interim pastor in West Allis, WI and to take the interim training.  While working there, she completed her program for the D. Min. degree.  She served in interim ministry in several churches in Ohio and Wisconsin, and concluded her ministry at Town and Country Presbyterian Church in Richland Center, WI.  She officially retired in 2010.  After retiring, she functioned as a hospice minister for a friend of many years.  Also, she did pulpit supply in churches in the Presbytery and substitute taught in the Richland Center School District.

Rev. Hanson-Hysell takes very seriously her own spiritual development and growth in her ministry through reading, workshops, conferences and spiritual direction.  She believes and trusts deeply that the spiritual transformation of individual lives is foundational for the renewal of the Christian faith.  She loves the arts and uses them to create new ways to worship and explore who we are as human beings.  She is the mother of two adult sons, and has two grandchildren, all living out east
